The Trust organises two annual music festivals; Jodhpur Rajasthan International Folk Festival and the World Sacred Spirit Festival for the music lovers all across the globe. The Trust also organises various music concerts each year in collaboration with a local music lovers association, Swar Sudha. The Trust also is involved in organising various cultural and religious festivals at a grand scale such as; Dussehra, Gangaur, Navratra, Jodhpur Foundation Day and many others.
The Museum has participated in many international exhibitions all over the world, displaying and sharing the rich heritage of Marwar, and interacting with prestigious institutions in the field. The remarkable painting exhibition ‘Garden and Cosmos’, was displayed at Smithsonian’s Sackler Gallery, the Seattle Asian Art Museum, the British Museum and the Art gallery at New South Wales in Sydney, Australia.
Mehrangarh Museum Trust is India’s leading cultural institution and a centre of excellence in the field of architectural, material conservation, heritage management and historical research. Various conferences, seminars and workshops are organised at National and international level at the Fort in collaboration with other leading institutions in the field. Mehrangarh Museum Trust has collaborated with the Tata Trusts to undertake a four-year project under the Tata Trusts Art Conservation Initiative (ACI) that proposes to establish, develop and strengthen art conservation centres in five zonal centres across India, and create a cohort of trained conservators.
The ACI programs main goals are in establishing conservation around the country in a simultaneous thrust through five anchor centres, the establishment of a cadre of thorough professionals through training at workshops and through an educational model.
Under this Art Conservation Initiative, a 10-days training course on conservation of Wall painting-1 will be organized at Mehrangarh Fort from April 8th, 2020- April 18th, 2020. The main motive of this training course is to make each participant able to identify the deterioration factors and phenomena, materials and techniques involved in wall painting and also how
